CUSTOM BUILD · PAID ENGAGEMENT

Turn your firm’s knowledge into a working tool.

Your details, specifications, internal standards, and project records already contain years of practice knowledge. BPD can turn that material into a searchable, connected tool built around how your firm actually works.

Paid custom engagement · scoped to your firm · built on BPD’s proven tool framework

Where this material lives today

Most firms already have the library, the register, and the project record. They just aren’t built like one yet.

Today
  • ×Scattered across shared drives, email threads, spreadsheets, and old project folders
  • ×No single search, so finding the right item means asking whoever touched it last
  • ×Multiple versions in circulation, no clear record of which one is current
  • ×Hard to hand off to a new hire, consultant, or client without a walkthrough
With a custom build
  • One searchable, filterable index, in the same interface as the tools on this site
  • Organized by your own structure, numbering, and vocabulary
  • One current version, updated as your standards change
  • Shareable with your team, consultants, or clients on your terms

What it could look like

Three working previews of the same machinery already running on this site, holding invented records instead of public data. They are live: search them, filter them, sort a column, open a row.

Sample data
Your details and specifications, indexed. The engine behind NYCHA Standards and NYCSCA Standards, pointed at your firm’s catalogue instead of an agency’s.
0 items in your library
Any set of rules your firm has to track. The engine behind the Local Law Index, here holding a firm’s internal design standards instead of NYC local laws. Same cards, same filters, your content.
0 standards on file
One record per project, with your fields on it. The engine behind Building Profile, with the same context bar and sortable, expandable tables, holding whatever your practice tracks. Click a row.

Each panel is the real interface running on invented records. A build for your firm swaps the data, the fields, and the labels. The machinery is already written and already live on this site.

Capabilities that fit the material

Each build uses only the capabilities the work calls for. The interface, fields, relationships, and access model are scoped around the way your firm needs to find and use its information.

01 / Relationships

Connected records

Trace the relationships between a project, the standards it uses, the details issued from it, its filings, consultants, and later revisions. Separate folders become one navigable record.

Firm Standard Project Record Issued Detail Filing
02 / Workflows

Scope and checklist builders

Turn office procedures into repeatable, project-specific workflows with selections, notes, exceptions, and clear handoffs.

03 / Location views

Portfolio and location views

Organize information by building, site, campus, or geographic area when the location changes what the team needs to see.

04 / Dashboards

Dashboards and exports

Summarize status, deadlines, exceptions, and filtered working lists, then export the view for coordination outside the tool.

05 / Access

Role-based access

Provide different views for internal teams, consultants, and clients when the engagement requires controlled access.

What’s included

01

Searchable & filterable

The same instant search, category filters, and column sorting already live on this site’s public tools, built around your firm’s own structure and numbering.

02

Private to your firm

Not indexed publicly. Access can be limited to your team, or shared selectively with consultants and clients on a project-by-project basis.

03

Kept current

As your material is revised, the tool is updated, the same way this site’s public tools are kept in sync with current code and bulletins.

04

Exportable

Filtered results can be exported to a working list, the same as the viewers on this site, for use outside the tool.

From source material to working tool

The exact scope varies, but every engagement moves through the same three decisions.

01 / SCOPE

Define what belongs

We review the material, where it lives, who uses it, and the questions the finished tool needs to answer.

02 / PROTOTYPE

Test the structure

A working sample establishes the fields, filters, relationships, terminology, and access pattern before the full build proceeds.

03 / LAUNCH

Deliver and keep current

The approved structure is populated and released, with the update process and responsibilities defined as part of the engagement.

Questions before a build

A few questions we hear before a firm decides to move forward.

What do you need from us to get started?

A list of what you want indexed and where it already lives: file links, a shared drive, a spreadsheet, or wherever it’s currently kept. We build the searchable layer and link out to your sources directly; we’re not hosting, converting, or redrawing the underlying files.

How long does a build take?

It depends on how much material there is and how it’s currently organized. A first working version can typically be scoped and estimated after a short review of what you have. Ask us for a timeline once we’ve seen it.

Who can see it once it’s built?

Whoever you decide. It’s not indexed publicly by default. Access can be limited to your internal team, or opened up selectively to consultants and clients on specific projects.

What happens when our standards change?

The tool is updated to match, the same way this site’s public tools stay current with NYC code and bulletins. Update frequency and process are part of what gets scoped up front.

Does this replace our CAD standards, BIM library, or project management system?

No. It’s a reference and lookup layer on top of what you already have, the same role the viewers on this site play for public data. Your source files and systems stay wherever they live today.

Want this for your firm?

Tell us what your practice needs to look up (details and specs, internal standards, project records), how it’s organized today and who needs access, and we’ll scope what it would take to bring it into a tool like these.
